Open House Guidelines For Nosy Neighbors

I love when nosy neighbors come through my open house.

Sometimes, I get the juiciest of gossip. Sometimes I get the history of the property. And other times, I get information on what is happening in the neighborhood.

I’m not always the listing agent who is sitting the property open.

Oftentimes, I am the buyer’s agent, and it is from nosy neighbors that I learn the most about a property, which helps me to be a better buyer’s agent if and when the time comes.

Nosy neighbors are generally very good about letting me know up front that they are not serious buyers, but curious neighbors who want to see the property, and want to stay on top of what is happening in the neighborhood.

I appreciate that. I think all of us want to keep Phoenix beautiful.

Sometimes, the curious neighbor is thinking about selling their home, and is looking to compare for pricing or looking for additional information.

I am always happy to help.

Either way, it is helpful to let the sitting agent know of your intentions – whether pricing to sell your home or simply satisfying a curious mind.

Having that information helps us to serve you better. For me, it is not always about the sale.

I appreciate getting good feedback on the home from the visiting neighbor.

I share that feedback with the listing agent so that they have an opportunity to make adjustments where they see the need.

While I am sitting an open house as a buyer’s agent, I genuinely give my best to help the listing agent to sell that property.

If I am the listing agent, you can bet your bottom dollar I am taking your feedback seriously.

When you come through my open house, please feel free to go through as though you are a serious buyer.

Then, if you don’t mind, please give me your feedback.

From my perspective, your feedback is paramount to the timeliness of the sale.

To all of you, I thank you.
